Are IDE disks visible in bios? They shouls be in first menu.

The disk are visible but not in the first menu. This is due to the IT8211 IDE controller, they appear in the boot menu and later they're signaled during the boot process when the controller is initialized. I already brought back the PC to my vendor because i thought this was a problem, he said it's normal. However someone advised me to load a module called it821x by typing 'modprobe it821x' in a console during install, maybe it's the way. i don't know if it's possible or if the module is present but i'll try.
