can not disable ipv6

I can not disable ipv6 in:
   Sarge-stable 3.1 r0a
   Kernel 2.6.8-2-386

I've tried chanching aliases and sysctl.conf (see below) but to no avail.

Changing aliases used to work in sarge-testing, but now the only thing that works is deleting actual module's file (ipv6.ko).

Is there anything else I can do in sarge-stable (other than deleting the module's file)?

Thanks,
Rene

1) /etc/modprobe.d/aliases
#alias net-pf-10 ipv6
alias net-pf-10 off
run update-modules

2) /etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv6.conf.eth1.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.eth0.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.default.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.all.autoconf = 0
net.ipv6.conf.lo.autoconf = 0
