apt.conf question
Hello List,
I had quite some trouble with a machine recently when trying to install a new
mailman version. Several software packages were uninstalled without further
asking.
I found the following entry in the /etc/apt/apt.conf file and now I think of
becoming a little angry :-( because I know the two parameters "Assume Yes
'true'" and "Purge 'Yes'" can really do a lot of harm.
Or are they necessary for working automatic updates?
I doubt that... there should be a better way, or not?
Any help appreciated!

Purge "true"; // really purge! Also removes config files

ReInstall "false";
