I am currently running debian testing (etch)

I am unable to get the page footer to print when for example printing
a webpage using firefox. When I do a page preview both the header
and footer show up. Any ideas?

Thanks, George

This is a very old bug. Here are some of the bug reports still open:

If you have cups-pdf installed, you can print to pdf which will capture
headers/footers. However I've never been able to get the cups print
scaling options to work, so I can view the headers/footers in xpdf, but
can't scale the page to reduce the image enough to print within the page
printable area on the laser printer.

Anyone?

I installed cups-pdf, set up the virtual printer and printing to it the pdf docs in $HOME/cups-pdf cannot be printed because they contain no pages.
