Many thanks to the Debian team for the release of sarge as stable. I have now belatedly got round to dist-upgrading, which mostly went smoothly. I did however come across a few problems: 1) Home, End etc. keys not working in jed 2) GTK apps failing to start with "relocation error: libXft.so.2: undefined symbol: XRenderQuerySubpixelOrder" 3) VT switching with Ctrl-Alt-Fn stopped working 4) X applications developed big ugly font syndrome Google failed to find solutions to 1, 2 and 3, though I managed to fix them eventually. 4 required reference to several documents.
