Hi fox,
after installing the xorg-server I have faced keyboard mapping issues.
I have a German keyboard and with tow buttons. The first problem is the at "@"
which supposed to be the result of "AltGR+Q" I had checked the
file /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/de and found the expected line.
key <AD01> { [ q, Q ] [ at ] };
Also I added the following line in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc/de
key <AD01> { [ q, Q, at, at ] };
hoping that It will help, but nothing.

the second problem is the termination of a process on the console using
Ctrl+C
Note:both problems disappear in the tty (Ctrl+Alt+F1).The problem is only for
konsole (under KDE)
even I tried the command
#loadkeys /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwertz/de-latin1.kmap.gz
also
#loadkeys /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwertz/de-latin1-nodeadkeys.kmap.gz
loading the file in "/etc/console/boottime.kmap.gz" brings the "Y" and the "Z"
on both the Konsole and Kmail. While ä,ü,and ö are functioning only on KDE
applications, but not on the Konsole.
to correct positions but fails to give me the "@"
Sammury
It would be ultimate if the keymap used in tty1 is applied on the KDE
applications.
