No, I'm afraid you weren't.  You were the victim of a spammer[1] 
trying to dupe you into getting potentially royally screwed in what 
the FTC calls an International Lottery scam[2].  Even if it were a 
real lottery, you still violate federal law by purchasing foreign 
lottery tickets by phone or mail, and you'll be placed on ripoff 
marketer's sucker list (if you're not already by default for having 
an address ending in @aol.com[4]) for actually falling for it (expect 
more scams of a similar nature).  

For your own sake, please be more careful online.
