I get the same result with each of my two CD > > drives, and whether I use k3b, audiocd:/ in konqueror, or cdparanoia to do > > the ripping. Oh... okay... which encoder are you using? lame? oggenc? I'd try using these encoders on *.wav files from the command line to see if the encoding is the problem.. Then I might try cdda2wav to see if the conversion from .cdda to .wav is the problem.
