Here is a bit of my smb.conf for a common fileshare for all users (my security 
= user).

The guest is account nobody

[fileshare]
        comment = general fileshare
        path = /var/lib/samba/fileshare
        read only = No
        create mask = 0777
        force create mode = 0666
        directory mask = 0777
        force directory mode = 0777
        guest only = Yes
        guest ok = Yes
