Yeah, I'd rather say: I didn't work and it did.
With the later updates (I get them almost daily, we're at -7), though, the problem was solved for me. Now the plugin works as it should (so I guess; at least I didn't encounter any of the earlier problems). It even de-registered and re-registered properly in Firefox, so that I could activate the association again.
