Try this:  Add "-W" to the list of ARGS in /etc/default/ifplugd.  This may
result in the pidfile getting properly deleted at shutdown.


Thank you Thomas but it does not seem to.

I am really getting frustrated by the adapter not being configured at boot.

Would you believe I could try raising a bug against ifupdown ?
