RE: /proc/cpu lists CPU MHz: 0.0000

Ummm... Thanks for confirming that ;-)

Can anyone suggest some directions I can take to troubleshoot further? What
components might be responsible for mis-reporting the clockspeed?

I checked /var/log/dmesg, and it appears that the clockspeed was determined
correctly at boot time:

   Using local APIC timer interrupts.
   calibrating APIC timer ...
..... CPU clock speed is 1912.0907 MHz.
..... host bus clock speed is 332.0679 MHz.
