Re: Can't configure or remove



What i do, WARNING: it's the WORST solution.
The only thing that really do is cheat with the dpkg so it doesn't show
the annoying warnings, but the package will remain in your system (maybe
you can remove those by hand).

Okey, here's the recipe.
edit /var/lib/dpkg/status
and search for bootsplash
modify the 'Status' field so it looks like:

Package: bootsplash
Status: purge ok not-installed
Priority: optional
Section: graphics
Architecture: i386

and huala, apt nor dpkg will annoy you anymore.

before doing anything backcopy the status file.

have luck.
