RE: Dell GX260 Deskktop
When installing Debian I can add the e1000 driver but I get an error saying
that I do not have that hardware, that is my problem.

I'm assuming Debian is installed and you actually get a boot prompt.
If it's a intel gigabit card, it probably uses the e1000 driver. In
/etc/modules, add a line with "e1000" and reboot.
