Re: wont boot

I did look at the /etc/lilo.config and lba32 is uncomment
I do use a boot disk to boot the system right now

You might be OK if you add lba32 to your lilo.conf file and re-run lilo. Alternately, you could install another kernel, and if you get lucky, it will get placed below the 1024 cylinder limit, and you'll be able to boot it. You should be able to use the install disk to boot your installed system. You could also make a boot floppy, and boot from that, if you wanted to go that route.

On the other hand, you could just reinstall, and make a /boot partition.
