Re: installation from HDD

hi
infact i have extracted all these files to a hard disk already using winrar software on windows platform. it creates the directories like
debian-30r3-i386-binary-1
debian-30r3-i386-binary-2
debian-30r3-i386-binary-3
debian-30r3-i386-binary-4 etc
now i dont know how to boot from this hard disk and start the installation. the disk on which i have extracted the files isnt bootable or dont contain any operating system. so how to boot the system and start installation from this hard disk. and do i need to setup any kind of directory structure

I know the part of "extract the files and copy them to the hdd":

# mount -o loop file.iso /mnt/disk

this will let you see all the contents of file.iso in /mnt/disk. yes!
you can see what is inside a .iso ;)
then, you can copy the file you want to some other place.
