ATI Radeon 7000 Setup in Debian
I'm trying to install the Radeon 7000 in my new AMD64 system. When the menu
asks which chipset I'm using what should I choose? It looks like it
auto-selects vesa, but there is also an option for ati. I didn't see
anything for RV100 or radeon. According to the
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO/video.html#AEN447 (a hardware
compatibility list) those should be the chipset and driver. If I just
accept all the defaults, my desktop works, but I want to make sure that
something like TuxRacer will also work. I mean, I want to make sure that
all the features of the card, like OpenGL or XV support are enabled.
