When I try to reach a page with mozilla Version: 2:1.7.5-1, I get:

In which package is this plug-in ?

It isn't in any package (on Woody).

Nor on Sarge, I think. I do what Csányi says, even more, I just compile the latest mozilla browser and download whatever plugins and put them into the plugin directory.

You can download it from http://www.sun.com
Then run the downloaded
j2re-version_number-linux-i586.bin
file, and make the approppriate symbolic links in
~/.mozilla/plugins/ directory:

~/.mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so -> J2RE-version/j2re_version/plugin/i386/ns4/libjavaplugin.so

~/.mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so -> J2RE-version/j2re_version/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so

Then start your browser (Mozilla), and see if the plugins are there:
Help / About Plug-ins
