Playing doom3 on Debian?
Hi all,
Is there anyone having the experience of playing doom3 on Debian?
I am using Debian/unstable, and after using "aptitude search
doom", get the following result,
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
v doom-engine -
v doom-wad -
v doom-wad-editor -
p doom-wad-shareware - Shareware
game files for the 3D game DOOM
v doomlegacy -
p doomlegacy-data - Data files
needed by doomlegacy
p doomlegacy-sdl - A port of the
Doom engine that supports OpenGL
p doomlegacy-x11 - A port of the
Doom engine that supports OpenGL
p freedoom - free game
files for the 3D game DOOM
p lxdoom - Unix port of
boom, an enhanced version of DOOM
p lxdoom-sndserv - sound effects
server for lxdoom
p lxdoom-svga - svgalib
binary for lxdoom
p lxdoom-x11 - X binary for
lxdoom
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
which package should I install? and are there all the necessary
packages listed above?
Or is there any online documents about how to install and
configure the doom3 on a Debian box?
Any help is appreciated!
