After apt-get update / upgrade I was asked what output to use for dpkg configuration questions and chose readline. Now when I install packages usiung synaptic the dialogue boxes no longer appear asking package configuration. I am using Gnome desktop. Any help to reconfigure/fix is appreciated. DM
