thnx andreas for this possibility.  i will sure use it.

but first i'll try dvdrecord, the variant of cdrecord which burns dvd's. 
the necessary isofile i can produce with mkisofs. what i understood of 
growisofs is that it gives the possibility to add files (by burning) on 
a dvd.
or, am i wrong?

i sure gonna read /usr/share/ &&
