Installing Sarge on Dimension 4700

Hi all,

I am trying to install debian sarge on my dell dimension 4700, which uses the intel 915 chipset. I experienced hang on real time clock problem (which is actually an acpi problem and can be solved by adding acpi=off to kernel paramenters). But the problem now is when I get to the libata part in startup process, the computer just hang there. The screen output is as follows:
Irq 193: nobody cared!
[<c010875a>] __report_bad_irq+0x2a/0x90
[<c0108850>] note_interrupt+0x70/0xb0
[<c0108b60>] do_IRQ+0x160/0x1a0
[<c0106be0>] common_interrupt+0x18/0x20
handlers:
[<f8841ef0>] (ata_interrupt+0x0/0x1e0 [libata])
Disabling IRQ #193
and after a while (30 secs or so)
ata1: command 0xc8 timeout, stat 0x50 host_stat 0x64
And no more output, but the computer is still responsive execpt that it is not moving on any more. So does anybody have simliar experience or can give any hint on this? Thanks very much.

Regards,
Guang Zhu
