positive alteration. I can change -fg to black from white after having
selected -bg gray, for example, and nothing at all happens. What am I

I was trying a similar thing; just wanted to change the default fonts
(CTRL+RightClick i believe) in xterm. I had to copy the .Xdefaults file
I had modified to .Xdefaults-red for my machine named "red". Then it worked.
