installer with kernel 2.6.x or how to upgrade kernel without network?
Hi
I am trying to install a debian on emachines (t2862)
which is to my point of view a very cheap put crappy
hardware but I have not choice (work)..
Anyway, with the default installer I have a kernel
2.4.18bf... but network card is not recognized (intel
pro VE/100).. I tried the eepro100 and other for intel
and it does not find the device and IRQ ..
what are my choices to be able to install a newer
kernel?
can I install a debian unstable? or is there an
installer that comes directly with a 2.6.x kernel?
Thanks
Manu
