Doing some stuff like,

cat /proc/interrupts, iomem and ioports might give you enough info on
what chipset(s).

You need to find out which chipset Adaptec uses on the card. It is not 
necessarily Adaptec, my Adaptec USB 2.0 . Once you find the chipset you 
can browse the kernel source for the driver.
