xcdroast problem

I wanted to write a cd with xcdroast, but could not. Here is what is says to
me:

Calling: /usr/lib/xcdroast/bin/xcdrwrap CDRECORD dev= "ATAPI:0,0,0"
gracetime=2 fs=8192k -v driveropts=burnfree  speed=16 -dao -eject -pad -waiti
tsize=360662s -

cdrecord: Warning: Running on Linux-2.6.10
cdrecord: There are unsettled issues with Linux-2.5 and newer.
cdrecord: If you have unexpected problems, please try Linux-2.4 or Solaris.
scsidev: 'ATAPI:0,0,0'
devname: 'ATAPI'
scsibus: 0 target: 0 lun: 0
Warning: Using ATA Packet interface.
Warning: The related Linux kernel interface code seems to be unmaintained.
Warning: There is absolutely NO DMA, operations thus are slow.
SCSI buffer size: 64512
cdrecord: Drive does not support SAO recording.
NOTE: this version of cdrecord is an inofficial (modified) release of cdrecord
cdrecord: Illegal write mode for this drive.
and thus may have bugs that are not present in the original version.

Then I try to write the cd with k3b and it say to me:

Can't find a suitable writer. You will only be able to create an image.

But if I restart, k3b sees the writer and there is no problem. If trying again
with xcdroast, then the same story. If launch cdrecord -scanbus dev=ATA, get
this:

scsibus1:
        1,0,0   100) 'TEAC    ' 'CD-W540E        ' '1.0D' Removable CD-ROM
 cdrecord: Warning: controller returns wrong size for CD capabilities page.
        1,1,0   101) 'ASUS    ' 'CD-S520/A       ' '1.6K' Removable CD-ROM
        1,2,0   102) *
        1,3,0   103) *
        1,4,0   104) *
        1,5,0   105) *
        1,6,0   106) *
        1,7,0   107) *

I did not use xcdroast for some time and had no problems earlier? So it is an
xcdroast bug or not because k3b works fine.

P.S. I'm using 2.6.10 kernel without ide-scsi option in grub.
