Cups Aborts Jobs After Dist-Upgrade

A Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 940C is attached to lp0.  The box is testing 
with a 2.4.27 kernel.  All was working perfectly until this morining's 
(11 Feb 05) dist-upgrade.  Now all print jobs are aborted and the cups 
error_log says the pid for /usr/lib/cups/foomatic-rip stopped with 
status 3!  Setting loglevel to debug2 generates no additional information.

Using lynx localhost:631 to manage printers shows everything is normal.  
An Epson printer attached to another box on the LAN is still accessable 
and prints normally.

That other operating system can print to the 940C with no problem.
