Well.. it seems that whenever I start an application on the command line I 
get a few error messages before it starts, so I just figured that these 
are also written into .xsession-errors which then grows with time. But 
now that you mentioned it I took a closer look in the file, and it looks 
like mplayer is basically "printing" all the played movie clips in it. 
I'm going to take a closer look at that.
