Hi,

I'm not too familiar with the Debian way of compiling custom kernels,
but there is an --initrd option to make-kpkg. Additionally, "Initial ramdisk
support" and "cramfs" (that's the default initrd fs type, IIRC) has to be
enabled in your kernel.
