Hey. In bash, I've set my filemask / umask to my preferences (to grant group rw access). no problems. BUT when an X application (eg. openoffice / konqueror) creates a file, the permissions don't respect my bash UMASK settings. Understandably, as it's a different shell, ok, but how DO I set these? ta. rich
