$ ldd /bin/echo
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7ea7000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7fea000)
Everything works fine here, so I don't think that's it.
