I also have a Kyocera (FS-1010) which works very well, though I use it
on the parallel port. I find it is better with Magicfilter than with
CUPS. Magicfilter 1.2 is available as a deb package though the
maintainer seems to be inactive. Version 2.3 is available elsewhere and
is easy to compile; both seem to work equally well.
