Re: Headless "rescue" CD that's Debian based.
Along the same lines as Karsten suggested, you might check out Morphix
at http://www.morphix.org It is a pared down Knoppix designed to be
modular. To add functionality you just add some .debs (which are
installed on boot) and you can put in a custom script in an exec
directory to customize it.
To load it without X you'll have to fiddle with the base system. Slax
(Slackware based) boots to the console by default and X must be started
manually.
