 I captured network traffic of Rhythmbox, it shows a GET of gnome-vfs
 (among other things):

  => circular loop.

 I presume some headers are missing, but you have to capture WMP network
 traffic to understand what's missing.

 Did you try Rhythmbox 0.9?  (I tried with 0.8.)
