Sarge "dist-upgrade" crashes during KDE
Hello, all.
I hope that you can help me.
While upgrading My Sarge machine this morning, I have got problems with a
conflict during the process.
apt-get complains that:
/usr/lib/kde3/gsthumbnail.la already exists in kdebase-kio-plugins when trying
to unpack kdegraphics-kfile-plugins
As usual it recommended issuing "apt-get install -f" to resolve the issue.
However this complained about the following packages:
BEGIN:

(using .../kdelibs-bin_4%3a3.3.1-4_i386.deb) ...

END
I've tried apt-get remove on the offedning package and removing the named
file, but I keep getting the same problem.
Has anybody any ideas how I might resolve this, please?
I've even tried "apt-get remove kdesktop" but that has the same complaints.
If there is some very simple fix (even if it is just removing all of KDE to
re-install - please tell me how.
Thanks in advance.
