Hello,

I'm experiencing the following problem:

ibr@burundai:~$ sudo apt-get build-dep openoffice.org
Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
Abhangigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut... Fertig
E: Some broken packages were found while trying to process build-dependencies for openoffice.org.
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.

Any ideas how to debug this?

With kind regards,
Baurjan.

Try installing the build-dependencies one by one['cat /var/lib/apt/lists/*Sources | grep-dctrl -PX openoffice.org' or 'dpkg-checkbuilddeps' in the openoffice.org debian/.. directory] . Since sarge/sid's apt should no longer give this less than helpful error message I'll assume you are using woody in which case be aware that trying to build openoffice.org may require some work. :) Figuring out what build dependencies you really need and what substitutions can be made can be more of an art than a science at times[eg if you don't have a scanner than you probably don't need to install libsane-dev].
