Help: dselect screwed up!
I am using debian sarge, and i use dselect to install softwares. However, when i tried to install the mysql-server component and followed all of the suggestions to solve dependence conflicts, (which added about 5 or 6 other components). When it proceeded to the configure step, the screen rolled up with many mistakes, and at the bottom saying "Unknown error 900", followed by a segmentation error, then my filesystem(which is xfs) halted.
I rebooted and checked my filesystem carefully and found a nearly 2GB file named "available" in /var/lib/dpkg/, I thought it was the prob and deleted it. However, i still cannot use dselect(and of course any tools of dpkg-***) which always returns a "segmentation fault" and halts. Any idea?
