Make that 2.4.28. I think the 2.6.10 dynamic ARP table sizing code went in
2.4.28.

How big are the directly attached networks? If you have more than four
/24 networks connected to the box (or even a single /16 network), then you
*certainly* have to increase that cache size with any kernel below 2.4.28 or
2.6.9 (10?).
