ftp servers out the wazoo

There is a ridiculous oversupply of ftp servers in Debian:

bsd-ftpd
ftpd
inetutils-ftpd
libnet-ftpserver-perl
muddleftpd
oftpd
proftpd
pure-ftpd
pyftpd
twoftpd
vsftpd
wu-ftpd
wzdftpd

I want something simple, for anonymous access.  I was going to use 
oftpd, which is an anonymous-only server; but it doesn't allow uploads.

Before I start to plow into the details of all of these servers, can 
anyone make a recommendation for a simple, secure, anonymous FTP server?
