Hi,
This is just to confirm that you are not along.
I'm using debian/testing, 2.4.25-1-386, and yes i810_audio. The sound will
stopped working all of a sudden.
FYI, I used the following trick to get it working again (It is annoying, I
have to do it from time to time)
rmmod i810_audio ac97_codec soundcore
then insmod them back in reverse order.
