Re: Problem with Sarge-NetInstall m68k on my Amiga (won't even start...)

Would be glad to do so...
But I could use some hint, how to do this. No problem spending some time on it. But I'm not really sure where to start from.

Greetings,
Tobias

On amiga.resource.cx the Nexus is also listed:

According to them the AMD-IC is the controller-chip...
Something new on the issue?

Yep, an NCR5380-based SCSI card. Linux has a driver for this chip, someone
(you?) just has to add the necessary glue for the Nexus.

I found a high quality picture of the Nexus at
http://www.amiga-hardware.com/nexus_big.jpg.
It has several PALs on it which's programming won't be easy to figure out.
However there is a bigger IC made by AMD on it, which reads as "AM5380PC".
The manual (yeah! I kept it all these years...) mentions that the Nexus
offers a "ANSI X3T9.2-compliant SCSI-adaptor". Maybe a generic driver
works...

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But
when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
