Re: Problem with Sarge-NetInstall m68k on my Amiga (won't even start...)

Hello again!

On amiga.resource.cx the Nexus is also listed:
http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search.pl?dir=scsi#nexus
According to them the AMD-IC is the controller-chip...
Something new on the issue?

Greetings,
Tobias

I found a high quality picture of the Nexus at http://www.amiga-hardware.com/nexus_big.jpg.
It has several PALs on it which's programming won't be easy to figure out. However there is a bigger IC made by AMD on it, which reads as "AM5380PC".
The manual (yeah! I kept it all these years...) mentions that the Nexus offers a "ANSI X3T9.2-compliant SCSI-adaptor". Maybe a generic driver works...

Tobias

At the moment I'm trying to tell the installer, that I've got a Nexus-SCSI
controller, which seems to me is the next obstacle on the way. I'll be
browsing the FAQs and compatibility lists for this issue.

I don't think the Nexus is supported yet :-(

Do you know what SCSI chip it uses? If not, can you take a look at the board
and mail us the part numbers on the largest ICs?

when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
