SynCE doesn't like me
Hi,
I'm having trouble using SynCE with my HP iPAQ H2210.
1. `synce-serial-start` produces an error:
Quote:
FATAL: Module ppp_async not found.
synce-serial-start was unable to load the ppp_async kernel module:
Please add this module to your Linux kernel before running this
script again.
Well, I don't have ppp_async compiled as a module but it's in the kernel.
Quote:
[root][/boot]: less config-2.6.7-pimp1-041020-1 | grep PPP
CONFIG_PPP=y
# CONFIG_PPP_MULTILINK is not set
CONFIG_PPP_FILTER=y
---> CONFIG_PPP_ASYNC=y <---
# CONFIG_PPP_SYNC_TTY is not set
CONFIG_PPP_DEFLATE=y
CONFIG_PPP_BSDCOMP=y
CONFIG_PPPOE=y
Does it HAVE to be a module?
2. The `tools` which are used to sync the PDA like `pcp` and `pls` are
non existent on my system. `aptitude search pcp` doesn't know it either.
How come?
Cheers
Matthias
PS: It's prolly not a driver issue:
Quote:
[root][/boot]: dmesg | grep ipaq
drivers/usb/serial/ipaq.c: USB PocketPC PDA driver v0.5
usbcore: registered new driver ipaq
ipaq 2-2:1.0: PocketPC PDA converter detected
Looks good to me, but who knows...
