Just to clarify, I did not write that.

No, I did. I did so to illustrate how an arbitrary product could be packages with identifiable config using existing debian packaging technology.

Despite Tim's misinterpretation, it was a comment on packaging and not on shorewall: shorewall is simply the first example that came to mind of a package that requires config files but has none.

I suggested those different packages (which are basically config files) because those reflect models described on the shortwall website.
