Done E: Couldn't find package sysvconfig Echidna:~# That's Woody.Okay, I do have a Sarge box without file-rc. Looks promising. Now it needs to get part of the base install _and_ mentioned in the relevant manuals:-)
For other RH (and SuSE) refuges it the package basically duplicates the functionality of the chkconfig and service commands.
