Thoughts and comments would be appreciated. Seems you weren't using libata prior. Libata sees these drives as SCSI. It's the new SATA interface in the kernel. At any rate, there is no need for concern. This is expected behavior. Do an lsmod and you should see libata is loaded and has a reference count.
