Debian and IBM xSeries 336 8676-71x - LSI 53C1030 SCSI controller

Hi,
I'm Dino Ciuffetti, Linux network administrator.

We have a new IBM xSeries 335 8676-71X with 1GB RAM, two SCSI Disks 10K RPM
36.4GB and a LSI 53C1030 Mirroring Raid controller.

We have problems installing Debian Woody 3 because it doesn't recognize the
Logical Volume. We obviously made the volume, so that SuSE linux works
perfectly, but we want Debian!

I searched on google and debian lists archives without success.

I tried to compile kernel modules for fusion MPT devices on another working
debian system (without RAID devices off course), same kernel, same GCC,
obviously, but when I try to link the kernel modules during install fase, it
doesn't work, unmet modules dependencies, wrong kernel version, and so on.

Is there a way to make debian installer working well with LSI 53C1030?
Device drivers are released from source by LSI and they are working on newer
kernels!!

We are installing by CDROM, bf24.

Please help me!

Ciao,
