Thanks.  I was able to locate the NFS_HOWTO.gz.  The appropriate 
entry in

  /etc/apt/sources.list,

was:

  deb ftp://ftp.debian.ihug.com.au/debian/ testing main contrib non-free

Then

 apt-get install doc-linux-non-free-text 

... did the trick.

Do I have any choice?
