Questions on "update" CDs.
Hi,
would appreciate if someone could help to clarify the
a/m. According to the FAQ on the "update" CDs:
Update CDs are CDs which contain all the packages that
changed between the rev0 and a later revN release of
the current stable distribution. For example, if you
already have the full set of 3.0rev0 CDs, you can use
the "update-3.0rev2" CD to turn this 3.0rev0 set into
a 3.0rev2 set.
Q1: How to turn the 3.0rev0 to 3.0rev2 set? Does it
mean that whenever I do a new installation, I will
feed the PC with the original 7 disks of 3.0rev0 plus
one disk of 3.0rev2-update and system will install the
updated packages in the "update" disk?
Q2: If my original disks are of 3.0r1, can I still use
the 3.0rev2-update?
