Getting ogg123 to output using alsa

Hi,
I ripped a cd into the ogg format, and I'm trying to use ogg123 to play
it. I'm running a 2.4.21 kernel, and using alsa for sound. While mpg123
plays files ok, ogg123 wants to use the oss drivers, and on not finding
them, exits with an error. Can anyone give me any pointers on the
possible solutios to the problem?

I had compiled alsa modules, with OSS emulation. Also while sound plays
ok, there are some alsa related error messages during bootup:

>Apr 20 21:23:34 modak kernel: PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:06.0 to 64
>Apr 20 21:23:35 modak kernel: intel8x0: clocking to 47422
>Apr 20 21:23:35 modak kernel: devfs_register(audio): could not append to parent, err: -17
>Apr 20 21:23:35 modak kernel: ALSA seq_oss.c:223: can't register device seq

Is the problem something to do woth the above ?

Thanks a lot
